Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that is geared towards managing strong emotions. Dialectical Behavior Therapy was created by Dr. Marsha Linehan, Dr. Linehan created this therapy for those with BPD, or Borderline Personality Disorder. Although it was created for those with BPD, DBT is effective for everyone! I took a DBT class after being diagnosed with BPD and Bipolar 2 at the age of 30. DBT has retrained by brain and changed my life. I found myself wanting DBT resources that were more fun, cute and feminine so I made them myself. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
